Leah & Bryce

We are so excited it’s finally March and we’re getting close to wedding festivities! I downloaded WhatsApp (it’s a way we can message throughout the resort over Wi-Fi using our phone numbers) – feel free to download it for easy communication. Leah’s number is 602-571-2653 and Bryce’s is 253-732-1560.

Don’t forget to pack:

* Bug spray

* Mineral or organic sunscreen (a lot of the swimming areas are protected and regular sunscreen will ruin the ecosystem)

* A reusable water bottle (the resort does not have any single use plastics but there are water stations to fill up your water bottle!)

* Dramamine (for the boat excursion on Thursday)

* Snorkel, mask, and fins (the excursion will provide these for us but the resort required personal gear in the cenote or river when we were there in September)

Below are some details about our schedule, it’s your vacation also so please attend what you want to but don’t feel pressured!

Welcome Party – Let’s kick off the party week and get to know everyone!

Tuesday, March 29th

Rehearsal (Wedding Party)

* 4:00 p.m. at the Cenote

Rehearsal Dinner (Everyone)

* 5:30 p.m. – I’m trying to book a reservation at La Riviera but the resort can’t confirm until a week before so I will try to update this site as soon as I find out. If not posted, please message Bryce or I on WhatsApp to find out where dinner will be!

 

Wednesday, March 30th

WEDDING DAY!!!

Ceremony 

* 5:30 p.m. at the Cenote (next to the lobby). Grab a drink on the way down to help keep cool!

Cocktail Hour

* 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Rooftop Terrace

Dinner and Reception

* 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at the Rooftop Terrace

 

Thursday, March 31st

Boat Excursion (pickup at 2:00 p.m. and tour is 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.) – Snorkeling, dinner, and drinks!

**Please let us know if you want to join the party by 3/15 so we can coordinate with the tour company. $100pp – please send payment to Leah**

Bryce and Leah met on a drizzly Friday night in Tacoma, WA. Leah had an extra couple of tickets to a Garth Brooks concert and invited a work friend (Cody) who brought along his best friend Bryce! Bryce and Cody showed up to pregame at La Quinta with Leah, Samantha (sister and maid of honor), and some friends. They went to the concert, sparks flew and the thunder rolled.  They began chatting and started a semi-long distance relationship (Puyallup to Mountlake Terrace is quite the distance with Seattle traffic). Within the first 5 months of dating they had visited 5 different states and their shared love of adventures brought them closer together. During that time, Leah quickly fell in love with Rex and now both of their lives revolve around their amazing dog. Most weekends involve camping, paddleboarding, working on projects Leah starts, and you can find them snowmobiling in the mountains all winter long.

3 years later, Bryce proposed to Leah in McCall, ID where they had taken their first trip together. It was the day after Christmas, they went out for a quick snowmobile ride across a frozen lake and Bryce popped the question! He picked out (on his own) a blue topaz because of their love for snow and the water. They are so excited to celebrate their future lives together!

We understand the cost to travel and time off from work, may be too much for some. Please join us if you are able, but we completely understand if you cannot. We are looking forward to an amazing vacation, with close friends and family as we tie the knot.
